Kontraindikation (ärztliches Zeugnis); NUR Besuch von Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo: Impfung nicht notwendig. Empfohlen für Amazonasgebiet und Pantanal.
Für die Rezeptausstellung und die Impfungen, konsultieren Sie Ihren Hausarzt oder ein Impfzentrum. Die Gelbfieberimpfung kann nur in einem Impfzentrum oder bei einigen autorisierten Ärzten durchgeführt werden.

Ein Impfschutz ist generell weltweit empfohlen.

[edit] Hepatitis A

Bei Reisen in Länder mit erhöhtem Hepatitis A–Vorkommen Südosteuropa, Asien, Afrika, Mittel- und Südamerika.
Bei Kindern unter 10 Jahren dient die Impfung hauptsächlich der Vermeidung von Umgebungsinfektionen nach Rückkehr, da die Hepatitis A-Infektion bei Kindern meist beschwerdefrei bzw. milde verläuft . Daher sollte die Impfung eingehend mit dem Impfarzt vorher besprochen werden, um eine optimale Nutzen-Risiko-Abwägung treffen zu können.
Bei häufig Reisenden, nach längeren Tropenaufenthalten und bei über 50-jährigen sollte eine Bestimmung von Hepatitis A–Antikörper veranlaßt werden, da bereits eine Immunität bestehen könnte.

Diese Form der Gelbsucht, wird auf der ganzen Welt durch Blut übertragen, oft bei Sexualkontakten, bei Transfusionen, durch medizinische Instrumente, Injektionsnadeln, Tätowierungen und Akupunktur.
Bei Reisen in Gebiete mit erhöhtem Hepatitis B–Vorkommen und bei erhöhtem Infektionsrisiko sowie bei längeren Aufenthalten (> 1 Monat) ist eine Impfung ratsam.
Hepatitis B soll geimpft werden bei

• Berufstätigen im Gesundheitswesen
• Patienten mit häufiger Übertragung von Blut oder Blutbestandteilen
• Kinder, Jugendliche gemäß dem deutschen Impfkalender

Anlässlich einer Reise ist es ratsam, eine Hepatitis B Impfung grundsätzlich in Erwägung zu ziehen. Die Impfung ist für Kinder und Jugendliche in Deutschland routinemäßig empfohlen.
Intimkontakte mit Einheimischen und gemeinsames Benutzen von infizierten Gegenständen des täglichen Lebens und/oder bei medizinischen Eingriffen (z.B. Spritze nach Unfall) in Risikogebieten erhöhen das Infektionsrisiko.

Ein Impfschutz ist generell weltweit empfohlen. Insbesondere besteht ein erhöhtes Diphtherierisiko in Gebieten der Tropen, Süd- und Osteuropa, sowie in den ehem. GUS-Staaten.<br> Auch bei früher durchgemachter Diphtherie-Erkrankung muß vollständig geimpft werden, da nach einer Erkrankung nicht mit einer zuverlässigen Immunität zu rechnen ist.

(Typhus abdominalis) ist eine fieberhafte Infektionskrankheit, die durch unsaubere Speisen und Getränke übertragen wird. Reisen Sie in eines der Hochrisikoländer oder müssen sich anderswo unter schlechten hygienischen Verhältnissen verpflegen, schützen Sie sich durch eine Impfung. Nach einer Magenoperation oder bei Einnahme von Medikamenten gegen Übersäuerung des Magens ist das Typhusrisiko erhöht, also ist auch hier ein Impfschutz ganz besonders angebracht.
Bei Reisen in Länder mit unzureichender Hygiene und Trinkwasserversorgung (z.B. während Rucksack- und Abenteuerreisen) insbesondere: Nordafrika, indischer Subkontinent und Südostasien.

Hunde, aber auch andere Haus- und Wildtiere, können von der Tollwut befallen werden. Achtung, Kinder sind besonders gefährdet, mit solchen Tieren in Kontakt zu kommen! Sollten Sie oder Ihr Kind von einem unbekannten Tier gebissen oder auf verletzter Haut geleckt werden, sind unverzüglich Impfungen notwendig und sofortige Injektionen eines Immunserums.

Bei Reisen in Länder mit Infektionsrisiko: Asien, Afrika
Als Poliofrei gelten: Australien, Europa, Nord-, Mittel-, und Südamerika
Die Polio-Impfung wird in Deutschland ab dem 18. Lj. nicht mehr routinemäßig aufgefrischt. Sie wird nur mehr als Reiseimpfung in Regionen der oben genannten Kontinente empfohlen, wenn die letzte Impfung mehr als 10 Jahre zurückliegt.
